Public Service Announcement
The gun show link in the left navigation bar has been updated for 2004. Most of the show dates are given, although one promoter does not yet give dates past June on their site. The list of shows is just for the DFW area.
For gun shows in other parts of the country, you may wish to consult Shotgun News or the NRA (although both sources seem to miss most of the shows in the DFW area).
Cool! I’ll have to attend a couple of these. Any that you recommend over others for any reason?
It depends on what you’re looking for: old military guns and accessories; new guns; used guns; etc.
I tend to think that the Dallas Market Hall (Dallas Arms Collectors Association) and Will Rogers Center shows are the best in terms of a good mix of new and used guns. They’re also bigger than the others (except for Dallas Fair Park). My experience with the Fair Park show is that it’s better if you’re interested in old military firearms (and associated items).
The Big Town show is OK, but a bit smaller, and the Mesquite Rodeo show is the smallest of the ones listed.
What about Waxahachie? Small, but lovely guns…
I haven’t tried the Waxahachie show. However, your comment reminded me that I needed to update the page to include their show dates.
I may give it a try as there’s one scheduled for the end of the month there.
