I’d heard of Myth Busters on Discovery before, but I hadn’t watched them until their “Explosive Decompression” episode. Not only did they disprove the myth that a handgun could explosively decompress an airliner, they had a lot of fun doing it. And after tonight’s episode I’m hooked. They examined the “frozen chicken” myth by building a chicken cannon (!) and firing frozen and thawed chickens at aircraft windshields.

Yep, they are awesome, my only complaint so far, they did not hook up a GPS speedometer to the JATO car they tested, all they could say was “The helicopter could not keep up, and it tops at 140mph”

i noticed on your experiment on the scuba diver in the bushfire was extremely inacturate, the engine became stressed when pumping the water up only 15 feet, would this not be a hundred feet or more when pumping up to a helicopter?i think that the force exerted by your engine on the diver was not comparable to that of the copters. Although i believe this is an invalid myth, because the body of a diver would be horribly mutilated, i still feel that your experiment is highly invalid.
i heard if you fill bag pipes cleaning box with flamable liquid you can blow fir out of the pipes
how do you propose we would get the earth spinning again if it ever stopped???
Loved the show on the ceiling fans Brought back a memory. As an electrician i was called in by a man to install a 3 blade ceiling fan above the maritial bed. His wife apparently treatened to move into the spare room if he went ahead with the installation as she was afraid that if the fan fell down in the night the highest point in the bed where the fan would hit first was her breasts. I installed the fan with double supports. Far as i know she is all still there.

Hi, I was just wondering what would happen if someone puts a raw egg in the gas tank of a car. I heard it would stall the car every 30 seconds and I was wondering if that was true or not. I would like a reply also in case I don’t get to see the show. Thanks for your time.
